The Growth in Bespoke Designs for Conservatories & Orangeries Demands a Bespoke Approach - Enter Breckenridge

Recognising the current trend towards all-things bespoke and personalised, Breckenridge, one of the UK’s leading conservatory and orangery companies, has launched an in-house architectural design department. This new department will specifically cater for the bespoke demands of its customers.

The popularity of Channel 4’s ‘Grand Designs’ in the UK demonstrates both the growing trend towards the bespoke build and the many pitfalls if design specifications are not accurately produced. Along with design, Breckenridge’s architectural department will help specify building requirements much more accurately than their competitors, helping them complete complex commercial builds more efficiently. This expertise will also help in the completion of contemporary extensions and bespoke residential conservatories/orangeries.

Lee Vaughan, Breckenridge, MD, said, “The department will work on all of our projects, but will explicitly help design and specify bespoke conservatories and orangeries for both domestic and commercial builds."

The department will also lead new product designs, adding greater diversity to their range of contemporary conservatories, orangeries and extensions. This also includes the development of ‘glass-cubes’, the use of folding-sliding doors and the construction of ‘eco-buildings’.

Whilst other conservatory construction companies use drawings from building surveyors, Breckenridge will now be able to produce top-level architectural designs in-house. Two architects will lead the department, ensuring that all projects will run much more smoothly because of the greater level of specification up front. Bespoke projects require architects that fully understand the building of such designs, from using the latest CAD software to specific planning requirements.

-->Coolings Nursery – Kent, an expansive orangery for a coffee house in a large garden centre rated as best in the UK.
-->Private pool enclosure – Tunbridge Wells.
